Serving Religion – Abandoning God

When God looks down on earth – all He sees are Billions of people asking for Handouts – “Now that I have praised you, prayed to you, give me what I want. Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!” – is the sad mentality.

And this includes ALL religions – everyone seems to think of God as some kind of Sugar Daddy, a Giver, and all they have to do is sing his praises and He will be pleased and GIVE us what we want.

Such a mentality comes from our past – once we all lived under Kings, Dictators and brought before the King, the Dictator we are expected to get down on our knees, swear eternal belief, loyalty, submission & obedience to him and him alone and sing only his praises! Expecting such behavior to please him & reward us.

Religions born in those times, naturally, envisioned an afterworld that was similar to the life they had back then. Such religions have installed a King, Dictator like Putin gods in the afterworld sitting on their Thrones and demanding blind belief, loyalty, submission, obedience to them alone & singing only their praises & the rewards/punishments flow accordingly.

But we no longer live under Kings, Dictators and today, certainly in advanced countries, we aim to get ahead based on our own efforts – hard work, sacrifices, taking risks, dealing with setbacks and dash of luck. we look down upon those sycophants, cronies, yes-men and prostitutes who still use such methods to get ahead. We see this in Corrupt, Dictator-led countries like Russia and North Korea – where the few who sold their souls, morals and principles and blindly support the “Dear Loving Master” are rewarded & the vast majority suffer!

We see Sycophants, cronies, prostitutes surround the rich & powerful, do his bidding including hurting innocents, singing his praises, and hoping for a bone thrown their way!

And we look down upon such people with Contempt and Disgust! Guess what, the Rich guy or gal also views them the same way! And guess how God views them!

But amazingly, when it comes to religion, we revert to those primitive views of God! The way to please God and get to Heaven, according to the top religions of the day, is to blindly believe, submit, obey, and sing his praises and only his praises that the religion approves of.

Whatever happened to working hard, getting ahead based on our Works, Actions? Does God see us as the human beings that we are? Does not care for soldiers who were killed diving on grenades that would have taken their whole platoon? Were killed fighting for their country and people? Those good people who willingly give up their time and hard-earned money to help others?

But these are King, Dictator gods – all they care about is themselves – “do you believe, support, submit, and obey me and only me? Swear eternal loyalty to only me? Sing only my praises?” – well, we can easily understand Dictator like Putin demanding such things from their supporters – with enemies everywhere, they have to be assured of the loyalty of their citizens.

But this is God! What does He have to fear?

We realize these are man-made gods and religions. As I wrote, born at a different time and place but still being blindly followed today by the vast majority of humanity.

In Russia and North Korea, if you were to be foundAb not supporting the “Dear Loving Leader” terrible things will happen to you. Plenty of Russians who were against Putin and have escaped Russia and live in foreign countries live in fear for their lives. Many have been killed, not even their families have been spared, even children have been murdered.

Frighteningly, Theists promise the same fate to Atheists and people of other faiths. Only THEY will be rewarded – get to enjoy the bounties of Heaven – but that is not enough for them – the rest of humanity – Entire families, women, children, even babies! Babies! – must suffer terribly in Hell! The afterworld for us will be like being Jews in Nazi Germany!

Holocaust fires are burning 24/7 in the afterworld!

I keep asking – Where are the Moral? The principled?

Where are the educated?

Sadly, now they serve their religion, not God. Just like those sycophants and cronies who serve their master, most theists now serve their religion, they have abandoned God!

Religion is, by far, the best at brainwashing even the best of minds, most moral of us!
