Why Germans Supported Hitler

This is the question a lot of people ask, right? Why would ordinary Germans have supported such a cruel, sick human being? We have to understand history a bit, how life was back then. Germany was not the prosperous country that it is now. They lost the first world war; sanctions were imposed on them and ordinary Germans suffered. Then came the great depression and that caused even more suffering.

They looked at Hitler as the one man who could bring about prosperity, a way out of the horrible times they lived in, and they WERE right – the first 6 years of Hitler’s reign were prosperous for Germany.

The Germans, of course, ignored his rhetoric against Jews, it was not as if Hitler originated the hatred against Jews. Jews had been facing hate for, what 2,000 years now, and still counting. Hitler grabbed on to the hate that was already there in Germany, rest of Europe and much of the Islamic world.

But once he gained absolute power in 1934 there was nothing or no one to stop him, he had gained too much power, turned Germany into a Dictatorship. By then it was too late.

Having said all that, we humans are not as good people as we think we are. But as the experiments by Dr. Stanley Milgram prove, we humans are a nasty bunch. We are capable of extreme inhumane acts all the while patting ourselves on the back as “good, honest people.” In one experiment Dr. Milgram had a student tied to a chair in a room, with what looked like electric wires attached all over his body. Then he invited other students, standing behind a glass partition, to press a button that would shock the poor tied-up student! As they pressed the button, the young man would scream in pain. In reality, there was no electric shock, the young man was just pretending to be tortured, but the volunteers told to press the shock button did not know that.

Well, that did not stop the volunteers! And when Dr. Milgram urged them to ignore the cries and increase the amount of shock being delivered, most complied! They could clearly see and hear the young man was in distress but urged to do so by a man in authority, they complied!

When it comes to religion, back in the day, “He is an outsider. He does not share our beliefs” was enough to get a man killed! And plenty were killed for the “crime” of being an atheist or holding different beliefs. Even today in some Islamic countries, being known as an Atheist puts one’s life in danger.

And even today, religions go around the world using threats – convert or else! Their Heaven is SEGREGATED by belief; it is for their followers only! The rest of humanity, entire families, women, children, even babies, will be set apart & callously dumped into Hell! The same scene played in Germany under Hitler will be played out in the afterworld, on a much, much larger scale!

Correction – it continues to be played out even today, according to these religions. Everyday thousands of people die and since most of them are unbelievers, HOLOCAUST FIRES ARE BURNING 24/7 IN THE AFTERWORLD!

Almost every bus bench or billboard advertising religion never fails to tell us that Heaven is for believers only! People to be set apart based on belief, religion being the sole criteria, the same as what happened to innocent Jews in Nazi Germany!

Morals, values, principles do not matter – what we did in life does not matter. Belief alone matters – our entire life is a lie; we are reduced to a single aspect of who we are as human beings. The same way Racism, Sexism, Antisemitism, Caste does – but while these 4 are condemned as evil, wrong, religions continue to OPENLY PROMOTE their hate & division!

And NOT ONE MORAL PERSON has ever spoken up!

NOT ONE EDUCATED PERSON has ever spoken up!

EVER!

And even if they do, sadly, the media stands ready to censor such views.

I have tried repeatedly to ask simple questions like – What does one DO in Heaven? What WORK? What happens to Unbelievers in the afterworld? Can anyone describe what happens? If a disaster strikes and thousands of people are killed, can we imagine a scenario where only certain people are allowed in, the rest kept out in the cold? All based on belief, religion? Worse, thrown into Hell – entire families, women, children, even babies!

We can see how this would make the top religions very, very, very uncomfortable and so the media, dominated by them, censor such questions! Yes, in the 21^st century, even with all our big talk of freedom of speech, ideas, just like our big talk of seeing ourselves as good, outstanding people, there is OPEN censorship! We are no better than those Communist countries that we mock.
