Countless books have been written about Slavery – of course everyone agrees that it is wrong, pure evil, to exploit innocent human beings this way. But amazingly no one, it seems, sees the slave right under our very noses! Yes, our Pets!
Let us start the video with an elderly gentleman talking to his dog about Slavery! “Let me tell you about Slavery, my boy! How innocent people, even kids, were grabbed by slave traders, put in chains in slave ships and taken to distant lands! Put to work in fields under the hot blazing sun, worked like dogs! Their families left to wonder what happened to them! These slaves never saw their families ever again! Ever! Can you imagine how terrible that must have been? Imagine that – never seeing your mother, father, siblings, or family ever again! How Cruel!
If the dog could talk, it would be saying, “No Sir, I don’t HAVE to imagine! It happened to me! And YOU were the slave trader – you took me away from my mother, siblings! I never saw them again! My heartbroken mother was left to wonder what happened to her children. And this has happened to Cats also, other pets!
I didn’t have to work under the hot sun in back breaking work, but I am used as a surrogate child, a companion, a reason to go out, take a relaxing walk in the park, get some much-needed exercise, extend their lifespan!
My other jobs are to protect my master, sniff out drugs or bombs, work on farms herding sheep. But there are other jobs that are more troubling – we have been bred to race & we do regardless of our health condition, so if we drop dead during the race or after, no one cares! Some are bred to fight – we tear each other to pieces, human fighting is nothing compared to what we are asked to do to each other, even the victor is bloodied and may not survive! But the bettors don’t care, as long as they get their money!
Some animals like Cows and Drought horses did and are getting the slave life that you described – working in the hot sun for hours! Sadly, once they get too old to work, their owners saw that they can wring more blood from their old bodies, sell them off to dog food or glue-making factories! These poor slaves worked all their lives in brutal conditions and did not even get to enjoy a peaceful retired life!
Hindus in India said this was wrong, these mute, innocent animals deserve better and the western media used it to promote Religious Hate! Hindus were branded as evil; they were starving innocent Muslims! I will do a more detailed video on this later, how the western media used the ban on cow killing to promote Religious hate against Hindus and Hinduism.
And some pets, if their loving owners die or they get too old and too expensive to keep, they get dumped into animal shelters. Unless another family adopts them, they are killed off, er, put to sleep, we must not hurt human feelings, must we?
God, or Nature, never made us to be your dependents. In ancient times, you gave us your leftover food, scraps, and we stayed up nights to protect you. You slept happily, knowing we were on guard. In places like India, we still do that – we are street dogs, you feed us scraps, we stay up nights to alert you of danger. We were never supposed to be your helpless dependents, but to live in the wild as our brothers in Africa and Australia do, fending for themselves, raising families with love and affection.”
But his owner is oblivious to all this – he leans back, smiling, saying, “Glad those days are gone! No more slavery, no more brutality!”
Amazing to understand that we do not see the slave right at our feet! We are so blind! We call it our “Best Friend”! Best Slave is more like it.
