First, this is not a slight against Jews – I know they say this – but with all due respect, to be called God’s Chosen people, to be close to God’s Heart, is not about being born in a certain religion or converting to it, but it is based on our WORKS, ACTIONS!
I do understand why they would be calling themselves God’s Chosen People – they have faced hate & discrimination for over 2,000 years now and it is still going on! Unending hate for 2,000 years and counting. A media that pushes all the blame onto Hitler and his Nazis – wants to pretend that hate against Jews started with Hitler. Every TV show, movie where there is an episode showing Jews being attacked, the perpetrators are ALWAYS Nazis or their sympathizers – the police or the Hero goes to the lair of these criminals and we get snapshots of Nazi pictures and symbols – yep the Swastika – which by the way, Hitler never called it that – He and his Nazis used the word Hooked Cross – but the media had a problem because that points the finger at Christianity and so they popularized the word Swastika – pushing the blame on to Hinduism! Clever, don’t you think?
But we know that the hate against Jews goes much further back – 2,000 years in fact! So, who was driving this hate? You guessed it – Religion! But they dominate the media and so they found a scapegoat in Hitler and his Nazis! Where did Hitler get his hate? Was it not taught to him as a child? Hitler lived in times where Hate against minorities and especially Jews was far more common & has been nurtured against Jews for centuries!
But I digress – this post is about asking Jews a question – so many religions believe in Heaven and a few in Reincarnation. What do Jews believe in? Let me make the case for Reincarnation aka REAL LIFE! First, this is not about proselytization – as I wrote above, many religions can share the same beliefs without having to convert out. One can follow Plato’s ideas without having to be a Greek – this is no different.
When I think of Heaven – I say, What a waste of Humanity! No one mentions any WORK being done, no one even asks. Even simple questions like Can you describe a DAY? ONE DAY? Elicits confused looks! Heaven seems to be one vast Retirement Home – will billions doing nothing but self-gratifying themselves, like how drug users do here on earth. Drug addicts care no more for anything or anyone, not even their OWN loved ones – the fix is ALL they care about. And to my horror I see the same with Theists chasing after self-gratification in Heaven! They care no more about their country, people, not even their OWN loved ones!
How many times have we heard a follower or “Journalist” ask, with a drooling mouth, “Will we see all our DEAD loved ones again?” & how many times have we heard the question being asked – “What about my LIVING loved ones? I was the primary breadwinner in my family, without me, my family must be suffering! Maybe homeless! My children are going to bed hungry! My country is at war, millions are suffering! Mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, children at risk of rape, torture, murder! And I am supposed to be enjoying Heaven?”
NOT ONCE! NEVER!
Amazingly, like drug addicts, once people become religious, they seem to get addicted to the idea of an everlasting life of pleasure & forget about everyone else!
And Reincarnation is asking us to do the opposite – do not forget! NEVER FORGET!
This especially true for Jews – GOD NEEDS YOU; ISRAEL NEEDS YOU; YOUR PEOPLE NEED YOU. 2,000 years of hate & it continues to this day! Chants of “From the River to the Sea” openly uttered! We may think the days of Hitler might be gone, but no sir, those dark days might come again. Women thought after Roe V Wade – they had abortion rights sealed! But Hello, the fight has restarted! So many thinks of the US as the bulwark of Democracy and Freedom – well, with the Current President those long-cherished institutions are under threat!
So, that is the choice before you – my Jewish friends – will you choose to run away & hide, chase after self-gratification, or choose to fight? “I’ll lay me down to bleed a-while. Then I’ll rise and fight again” (Thomas Moore) – is that you?
The difference between Heaven & Reincarnation aka REAL LIFE, is the difference between a Coward & a Hero, a Warrior. The coward cares only about himself, his own hide – faced with the enemy he is more than fine with abandoning his brothers-in-arms, his people, loved ones to the mercy of his enemy, to be raped, tortured, mass murdered!
Whereas the Hero, the Warrior cares not for himself, his joy, happiness – he is willing to lay down his life for his country, people, loved ones – run TOWARDS pain & suffering!
Can you imagine yourself on Oct 7, 2024, in the middle of a joyous celebration, but suddenly the sky turns dark and innocent people are being mowed down right before your eyes? Can you imagine you fighting back, saving people? If that is you, God can use you here, instead of wasting away eternity in Heaven.
And that is what awaits you if you choose REAL LIFE – pain & suffering. Reincarnation promises you that.
Sadly, only a few Hero/Warrior faiths like Hinduism, Buddhism ask us to answer God’s call, to not turn our backs on God, our country, people, loved ones.
God asks – IF NOT YOU, THEN WHO?
No need for a Schindler in Heaven.
No need for a Soldier in Heaven.
No need for a Hero in Heaven.
No need for a Warrior in Heaven.
No need for a Doctor, Nurse in Heaven.
No need for an Einstein in Heaven.
No need for those who fight Hate, discrimination, bigotry in Heaven.
ALL are needed here on earth.
No one said making our Father Proud would be easy. There is only one way to do it.
BTW, God is with the Living, not the Dead!
