When you hear the word Idolatry – which religion comes to mind? Hinduism, right? What is strange is that Buddhist Temples have the statues of the Buddha, we see them praying to them and yet are not mocked as Idolators! It is good to have white skin – honestly, there is so much open racism in this world!
First, let us address this idea of Hindus praying to rocks! Boy, we are all such dumb people, right? We have no clue that we are praying to rocks! But mockery, aside, such ideas show the lack of respect that exists in this world.
I compare our view of God with the photographs that we have either in our wallet or now our cell phones. Photographs of our loved ones – looking at them makes us laugh or cry, sometimes both! But we do realize that these are not real people, correct? They are just images. Sure, everyone knows that – so then why can’t people see that Hindus are using these images as a representation of God? Again, simple – religious hate blinds even the best of minds!
But back to the title of this video – Idolatry is hiding in plain sight! Let us do a thought experiment – what if God decides to visit us? For Christians he must come down as a tall, young, blond, handsome white man, and answer to the name Jesus. A little magic, a few miracles and everyone will get down on their knees, lower their eyes and heads and sing his praises! Honestly, I never got this getting down on one’s knees, heads down part – if God is our Father, this is either our Father or Brother coming to visit us – is this how we greet our Father/Brother? Clearly, such actions show that this is a Master being greeted by his Slaves/Servants. I keep saying it – Christianity & Islam are Master/Slave religions.
So, what if God decides to come down as a woman? Do you think Christians will welcome her? Of course not! How about as a Black man? Hell, No!
And here is the kicker – what if He comes down as a brown man and says His name is Rama? They might gang up and try to kill him!
For Christians God must come down in an image that is acceptable to them!
And Muslims have the same issues – for them, God cannot have a form – Islam prohibits all forms of God – they say that is Idolatry. So that creates a problem for God – does He then come down as a bright light? And speak with a booming Darth Vader voice? Male, of course!
In both cases, God must cater to these peoples’ ideas of how or what God must look like! IDOLATRY 101!
But shhh, since these religions dominate the world – such views must not be expressed. I cannot get the above views published anywhere – the media is dominated by Christians & Muslims, and they make sure unwelcome views get censored immediately!
And this is one of the reasons why Hindu images look so different – they are saying do not expect God to meet our expectation of what He/She/It must look like – our religions have created Gods using ourselves as a template. At one time we humans had tails just like Monkeys, but over time, Evolution did its work, and we no longer have them but if we had, sure, our Gods would be sporting tails & we see that with the image of God Hanuman!
It is not God made man in His own image but Man making God in our own image. Ancient people living under Kings, Dictators used them as a template for God – they envisioned an afterworld that was similar to the life they had back then – a King, Dictator like Putin god sits on his Throne, Heaven is his Kingdom and only those who profess to blindly believe, support, submit, obey & sing his praises are allowed in, the rest kept out to suffer! In today’s world that would be like living in North Korea, Russia – where the few who blindly believe, support & obey the “Dear Loving Master” are rewarded with the easy good life while the vast majority suffer!
These are the top 2 religions of the day – Christianity & Islam – Master/Slave religions.
Islam had the right idea – the same as Hinduism – that we should not expect God to meet our expectation of Him – and with that last word, even they show their failings – God must be a male, yes sir! But prohibiting images or forms means God is limited by how He can come down and visit Muslims.
Hindus, of course, would not have any problems – Man or Woman, Young or Old, White or Black, Human or Non-Human – we welcome Him/Her/It in All Forms!
